LE PATRIARCHE PAUL DE SERBIE: UN SAINT DE NOTRE TEMPS DE JEAN-CLAUDE LARCHET TRADUIT PAR NENAD STAMENKOVIĆ: ANALYSE TRADUCTOLOGIQUE
Abstract
Dans cet article, nous analysons la traduction de certains termes religieux et de certaines constructions syntaxiques dans « Le patriarche Paul de Serbie : un saint de notre temps » de Jean-Claude Larchet du français en langue serbe pour indiquer les problèmes auxquels est confronté le traducteur lors du choix d’un équivalent de traduction. À partir du modèle situationnelthéorique de la traduction et du principe de l’équivalence fonctionnelle, une attention particulière sera axée sur les types de relations sémantiques (monosémie, polysémie, synonymie) entre les termes religieux français et serbes, en raison du fait que la terminologie orthodoxe française est basée sur le grec et le latin, tandis que la terminologie orthodoxe serbe repose sur le grec et le slavon d’église. Nous montrerons également que le traducteur, dans la plupart des cas, a assuré une traduction adéquate des termes religieux mais aussi que dans certaines situations les équivalents de traduction sont inadéquats et que le sens de quelques lexèmes et constructions n’est pas nuancé et approprié au contexte donné.
