TEACHING OF CLEMENT OF ALEXANDRIA AND A HYPOTHESES OF PLATO’S "PARMENIDES"

Abstract

The article examines the influence of Platonism on the teaching of Clement of
Alexandria and the reception of hypotheses of Plato’s "Parmenides" by Clement. The
influence of the first and second hypotheses of "Parmenides" on theology Clement is
considered. The status of the plurality in relation to the Son in Clement is discussed. A
different discourses in which Clement speaks of the Son, and the levels of the hierarchy of
relevance to the theology of Clement is picked out.
