КОШМАРЪТ НА КОНСТАНТИН: КРИСП И ФАУСТА
Abstract
Године 326. Цар Константин, као једини владар Римскога царства, наредио је погубљење Криспа – свога прворођеног сина кога му је родила прва жена Минервина. Убрзо након тога наредио је да се погуби и Фауста – његова друга жена и мајка његова три млађа сина. Ови догађаји постали су ноћна мора како за самог Св. цара Константина тако и за његову мајку Св. царицу Јелену која је живела у његовој близини до краја свог живота. Шта је био разлог да цар предузме тако екстремне мере? Да ли је у питању била политика, династичке амбиције, сломљено срце, или је ипак нешто друго изазвало damnatio memoriae за Криспа и Фаусту као и потпуно ћутање свих писаних извора из тога доба о овим догађајима? Да ли је било могуће да Крисп замени свога оца на месту цара, каква би у том случају била судбина његове браће, шта би се онда десило са хришћанством? Рад ће покушати да искористи како добро познате изворе тако и сасвим нове студије не би ли формулисао неке нове ставове у вези са овим питањима.
